Chief Michael Udegbi is a celebrated Egwu Ekpili singer from Eziagu L.G.A in Enugu State, Nigeria, who has achieved great success and fame in the music industry, despite being blind. His exceptional musical talent and unique style have captivated audiences and made him one of the most renowned performers in his genre. Despite the challenges posed by his disability, Chief Udegbi’s dedication and hard work have made him a source of inspiration and admiration for many.
Chief Udegbi first rose to fame with the release of his album ‘Ibalu Mmanwu’, produced by Akpamma Studios in Awka. The album features hit tracks like ‘Nwanne Malu Nwanneya’, ‘Ndi Ji Ego Achu Ego’, and ‘Akure Special’. With his music, he offers insightful commentary on social issues, using his songs to highlight the challenges faced by his community.

Chief Udegbi’s talents have not gone unnoticed, and in 2022, he recorded a song in honor of the popular native doctor Chidozie Nwangwu, known as ‘Akwa Okuko Tiwara Aki Na Oba’. The song went viral and earned Chief Udegbi a well-deserved reward in the form of a car, gifted to him by Akwa.
