Download Oriental Brothers – Ihe Oma Mp3
Experience a timeless hit with “Ihe Oma,” a classic track from the legendary Oriental Brothers International Band, led by the iconic Ferdinand “Dansatch” Emeka Opara. The song’s profound message is captured beautifully in its lyrics: “Ihe Oma.. odighi onye ihe oma soro nso” (Good things… do not follow everyone closely).
Formed in Owerri, Nigeria, in the 1970s, the Oriental Brothers were more than just a musical group; they played a vital spiritual role in the lives of the Igbo people after the Biafran Civil War. The band, which included talented brothers such as Godwin “Kabaka” Opara, Ezebuiro “Warrior” Obinna, Hybrilious “Aquila” Alaraibe, Prince Ichita, and Ejiogu, offered a rare light of hope and sanity. Their music was a source of pride for a people traumatized by the war’s devastating pangs. Decades later, they continue to be one of the most successful highlife bands, still dominating the music scene and airwaves in Eastern Nigeria.
Under the leadership of Sir Warrior, Kabaka, and Dansatch, the Oriental Brothers recorded a multitude of hit tracks that are cherished to this day, including Onye Ma Uche Chukwu, Obi Nwanne, Akwa Uwa, Elu Uwa Nka, Nwoke Ezu Ike, and Jisie Obi Ike.
