The song you requested is Ogomu Egbunam (1) by the revered Highlife maestro, Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe.
This track is a classic of Nigerian Highlife music. The title Ogomu Egbunam is an Igbo phrase that translates to “Ogome Has Killed Me” or “My Spouse Has Killed Me,” often used figuratively in a love song to express overwhelming love, longing, or emotional intensity. The (1) indicates that this is the first part of a multi-part song, where Osadebe introduces the theme and narrative, which was a common practice in vinyl releases (LPs).
The song is featured on his album Osondi Owendi, originally released in the 1980s.
